Leon, went to be with his Lord and Savior April 6, 2007. He was born
March 29, 1929 in Gracemont, OK to Mettie Morgan and Hank Burnett. He is
survived by his wife Betty Jo of the home; two brothers, Harlan of
Oklahoma City, and Vernice and wife Donna of Anadarko; and one sister
Lola Saxon of Roseberg, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents;
brothers Alvin , Glenn and Floyd; sister Aleene Vantime. Leon was an
Oklahoma City Police Officer for 30 years. He was an auto theft
detective when he retired in 1982. Leon was an active and long time
member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Metro Church in
Edmond and First Baptist Church in Moore. Services will be at First
Baptist Church of Moore, 301 N.E. 27th, Monday, April 9, 2007, at 10:00
AM with Dr. Kevin Clarkston, Don Sheets and Reverend Mike Booth
officiating.
