 James Highfill

Retired OCPD sergeant James Highfill, 64, died in his south Oklahoma City home today, March 28.  Jim spent the majority of his police career in the traffic enforcement division.  He retired on July 1, 1999.  The only information available at this time regarding his death is that he played cards with some friends on Thursday night and kept saying that he wasn't feeling well.  One of those friends went to Jim's residence mid-morning on Friday to check his welfare and, after getting no response at the door, entered the house and found Jim deceased.  Officers at the scene said that his death appeared to be from natural causes. Posted 03/28/08

NOTE:  Memorial services for Jim will be Wed April 2 at 2 pm at the Ford Chapel. Address for Funeral home chapel is 305 S. Sooner Rd. There will be no burial services.

BILL WOLF

Subject: Bill (Willy) Wolf 5/7/38 - 3/4/08

Bill Wolf served OCPD from 1962-1982

Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2008 16:15:41 +0000

To the friends and family of Bill Wolf from his daughter Beth,

My dad passed away in his sleep about 1 am Tuesday morning. He will
be greatly missed, but it is a blessing that he is no longer in
pain. In his last days, he was alert enough to say goodbye to his
grandson and me, and make clear what his final wishes were. On
Monday he told me he was going to give my mother orchids, like he
used to do on their anniversary and other special days. (My mother
passed away in 2000.) I thought it was sweet, but somehow I think
he must have known, as he passed away several hours later, early in
the morning of their 46th wedding anniversary.

There will be a simple graveside memorial service for him on
Saturday, March 8, at 11:30 am, at Cupco Cemetery near his home in
Tuskahoma, Oklahoma.

Thank you for your prayers and support during his illness and know
that he was truly blessed by your love and friendship.

Beth Wolf
