Terry
D. Turner went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2007 showing such
peace, faith, strength and integrity. He was born on August 30, 1952 in
Okla. City, OK. He met the love of his life, Pam. They were married on
Feb. 14, 1992. Terry joined the OKC Police Dept. in Feb. 1972 where he
was still serving 35 years later. Terry was the Commander and Bugler of
the Honor Guard for 20 plus years. Terry gave a lifelong commitment to
his community and being an OKC Police Officer. Terry earned the love and
respect of each and every fellow officer. If you had the privilege of
knowing Terry, first of all you have probably had a trick played on you,
but you quickly grew to love, trust and respect him. Terry was
passionate about his family, work, church and OU football. Terry was
always giving of himself, and has touched countless lives. We will
always remember those blue eyes and that incredible smile. Terry was
preceded in death by father and mother, Carlos and Mildred Turner. Terry
leaves behind his loving wife, Pam; and children, son, Cory Turner;
daughters, Angie Meadows, Lori Hickman, and daughter and son-in-law
Brandi and Rod Shoup; and 9 grandchildren. He also leaves behind the
spark in his eyes, Malli, Rinnur and Macci; sisters Nancy and Carolyn,
and a host of other family and friends. A celebration of Terry's life
will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at his church home
Piedmont Baptist, Piedmont, OK. Pastor Gary Caldwell and Police Chaplain
Jack Poe will be officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Liver Transplant Institute c/o
Integris Foundations 3030 N.W. Expressway, Suite 1600 Okla. City, OK
