Eugene ''Wimpy,'' 63, passed away Friday, May 09, 2008 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. He was born June 23, 1944 in OKC to Dee and Birla (Robison)
Martin. Wimpy was a detective with the OKC Police Department retiring in
1997 after 28 years of service. He enjoyed going to the lake house,
fishing, restoring cars and watching NASCAR. He was active in his church
and enjoyed socializing with his church family and going on mission
trips. The highlight of Wimpy's life was spending time with his family
and especially his grandchildren. Wimpy is survived by his wife, Peggy
of the home two daughters, Genia Brinkley and husband Ethan of Moore and
April Dildine and husband Matt of OKC one brother, Manyard Martin and
wife Joanie of Meeker, OK one sister, Sylvia McKee and husband Max of
OKC three grandchildren, Jaron Brinkley, Avery Dildine and Hailey
Dildine and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death
by his parents and one sister, Lavon Jones. The family will receive
friends on Sunday, May 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven
Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 12,
2008 at The Rock Assembly of God with interment following in Resthaven
Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
